Autumn Fair - Saturday 21st October
Thank you to everyone involved in today's Autumn Fair. Lots of willing pairs of hands from those who have supported the event for many years and also some new faces. It was lovely to see everyone working well together to achieve a happy and successful morning. Familiar stalls plus two "hired" tables. Despite the blustery conditions, the initial total raised is just under £800. Many thanks once again. Fiona

Supper Night - Saturday 23rd September
Thank you to those who made the Harvest Supper such a success, to Sheila and Wendy, to the whole team that Fiona draws together for the event, to Aileen for doing the raffle, Sheila the games and to the whole team of helpers and guests, together we raised £487.59. Brilliant!

Tower Open Days - Saturday 12th August
Thank you to everyone who contributed to a hugely successful day. The cake stall set the scene in the morning, selling a wonderful selection of home baking plus bags of bulbs grown, bagged and beautifully presented by Paddy. Helen, Paddy, Alison & Carrie, you not only sold out from your table, but encouraged people to come into the church for a tour of the bell tower, as well as giving directions to the Farmers' Market! A big thank you to Ian, Carrie and Sarah who burnt the calories running up and down the tower, Chris and Miranda for demonstrating the bells all day, Ted for selling the tickets, Marian giving the introductory talk and to Caroline, Wendy, Sheila and Penny for serving teas… and also to Vanda for sharing her love of our wonderful church, and not forgetting the dog and cow-sitting! Thank you to all who sacrificed their Saturday and contributed a total of £620.61! (I'm sure Ian will confirm the final figure if I've miss counted anything). Certainly the bar has now been set high for the next Open Tower days on 26th & 27th August. Do we have the manpower for another cake stall on the Saturday morning? There is a volunteering list at the back of the church. Fiona

I join with Fiona in thanking you for such a wonderful day last Saturday – delicious cakes, energetic climbers and many people who thoroughly enjoyed being part of church life. Special thanks to Chris, Miranda, Ian, Carrie, Sarah and Marian for their hard physical work in the tower and to all who helped on the stall and refreshments. I overheard in the shop – “Why have the bells been ringing all day?” Reply was “Oh that is St Buryan church for you – always celebrating something!”  Vanda

Tower Open Days - Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th  August
... and very well done  again to everyone who helped make the Bank Holiday Tower Open Weekend such a wonderful success. Final figures are still to come in but around £626 on Saturday and $433 on Sunday, so over £1,000 for the weekend. Congratulations!.

St Buryan Rally
The St Buryan church stall at the Rally this year raised  £307.20. Very well done to everyone who participated - those who baked, contributed  produce and other goods, and those who helped run the stall. Sheila.

Plant and Cake Stall
Thank you to everyone who turned out to help and those who contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile morning on Saturday 1st July. We raised £192.92. A wonderful achievement for a relatively simple event. There was a real sense of community spirit at the Market Cross, with even those waiting for the bus unable to resist a cake or two! The cake stall sold out entirely and a large dent was made in all the plants supplied by Paddy, Carrie, Alison & Sue.

Open Garden at Trevorgans
A wonderful quintessential English (or should I say Cornish) afternoon spent in the garden at Trevorgans Farmhouse on Sunday 18th June. Thank you to everyone who turned up, donated cakes, plants and raffle prizes and to all those who helped with teas and on the stalls. We raised £400 for the church tower. Fabulous. Well done everyone. Fiona

St Buryan Feast Fair
Thank you so much to all those who gave their time and to those who donated items for St Buryan’s Feast Fair on Monday 15th May. Sadly the weather wasn't on our side, so we weren't able to enjoy a sunny afternoon in the Rectory garden, but resorted to the Village Hall in the St Buryan mizzle. Despite this we made  a total of £376.52 (less Hall costs). Many thanks once again for everyone's help and support. Fiona.

Supper Night
WOW! Didn’t we have a fantastic evening at the Supper Night on Saturday 6th May? The selection of food was amazing, (people were saying “We need bigger plates to fit it all on”!!) It went so well, thanks to everyone pulling together. The help we had was superb, it made the getting ready and clearing up a doddle! Thank you so much to everyone who helped in any way to make it such a great success. The buzz of chat and laughter going around the room all evening summed it up more than any words could do. I’ve just heard from Ian the church treasurer that the brilliant sum of £550 was raised. What an amazing amount for the Tower Fund. Thank you all who helped in any way, we couldn’t have done it without you. It was such a super evening as well, wasn’t it? Wendy.
